What are the laws for Equines in Europe?
The unprecedent state of the equine industry in Europe!
This Pdf publication holds an unprecedent state of the equine industry in Europe.
Resulting from a partnership between the French Horse and Riding Institute (Ifce) and the European Horse Network (EHN), this detailed study on equidae-related legislation is the first project attempting to understand the specific equine legal issues faced by twelve European countries.
After specifying the adopted methodology, the comparative publication focuses on 5 main issues:
- legal status of horses (animal for production or pet animal) and its juridical implications in European laws;
- identification of the equidae;
- taxe rules applicable to equine activities;
- betting regulations;
- welfare standards.
A broader European Union context and a review of existing rules and potential reforms for each of these countries are specified: France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom, Sweden.
The chapters structure allows the reader to find and target efficiently the pertinent information.
Intended to specialists of the sector, this publication is also available in a printed French version, from the publisher.
